Welded diffs are awesome. I used to race with a guy who has a SR20DET 240sx with a welded diff. That car could grip, drift, whatever you want and he daily drove with no problems.


That is invalid. A welded diff will not turn, it will just slide.

Understood, but saying a welded diff is going to "grip" is incorrect.

I was referring to the style of driving. He can drift or grip amazingly in his welded diff sr20det 240sx. I have raced with him numerous times, behind him, in front of him, and sitting passenger in his car; and on numerous different mountain roads. He also daily drives the car; I mean literally he drives it everyday for all his affairs.

Here are two videos that prove it. Most of the in car footage his in his white 240sx. He chases down an R35 GTR in some of the scenes.

lol while i don't think you can grip with a welded, i guess driver skill comes in to play.
