I have about 2hrs to fig this out. here's what happening,

1: 3800 rpm hesatation
2: idles when parked (in nutral first starting up) as soon as you move it 1in it will not idle.
3: no power after 6K

mods: new sparkplugs/wires, gutted cats, new air filter (stock style) we did tape up the exposed batt cables too.

dont know what's wrong from search all I found was "gounding" or "tps is bad". but this is for on or the other. The car ran fine untell 2 days agon when is started all 3. My question is when can case all three at the same time I dout the grounding it the problem.

any help will be great.

maybe try borrowing an ecu from someone's car that runs normal to see if your's is the problem

 

na it's a 5 speed 87GXL. Flobb: I'll try the one in my parts car its a 88GXL but it should still work right?

yes the 5th/6th ports work just fine I lose the power almost at redling 6k-6.5K at 7K it's back forgot to add that sorry.

Why dont you try upgrading the grounds real quick? Check to see if the firewall ground fell off.

 

Grounding is all good from what we can tell Wish I could upgrade the grounding some more but where to do it? the only thread about it has bad pic's of where everthing goes it kind of confused me when I looked at it :\
