I got a new AFM and my car still bogs and cel comes on under WOT then I gotta turn car off and back on for it to go away. I know my TPS is out of whack could that cause this I'm so lost

Yes, it's a possibility. W/the car fully warmed the TPS voltage on the Green/Red wire should read close to 1 volt w/key to on. Does the CEL turn off if you're not WOT?

I tried messing with the TPS and with it like almost screwed in all the way it sits at 1 volt but after I changed it I drove it and floored it then the cel came on and instant limp mode. the light stays on til I restart the car

Hey dude! Code 10 is for the AIR INTAKE TEMP SENSOR IN THE AFM AND NOT THE AFM ITSELF!

Code #8 is the AFM itself. You need to look int he FSM for there should be a way of testing the air temp sensor. I cannot remember if it's replaceable (in either the S5 or S4 it is, but not in the other and I cannot remember which one). And the wiring could be the issue and not the sensor itself.

And are you positive you are getting a code 10 and not a code 1? Just thought I would throw that out there.

EDIT: page 80 of the FSM shows how to test the sensor (and in looking at the FSM it appears the sensor is removable on an S5 AFM).

it could be the wiring though right? I mean why would both afms be bad which kinda could be possible but not likely

Again, it's the temp sensor located within the AFM. Yeah it could be the wiring.

yeah I know it's inside the AFM as in I have to cut it apart right? I have my old one that's cut and glued I can look at. where should I check for the wiring issue

FIXED THE PROBLEM! so i got the ecu from ebay and i decided to open it up and well the OMP resistor and chip were burnt and just shot. i used the ones out of my old ecu and replaced them with the junk ones and i cleaned up the plugs on the harness and let em soak in vinegar and used a brush. started the car up and went and did a bunch of pulls and the problem is gone! too bad my brakes decided to lock up for some reason now lol problem after problem
