Alright, I'm going to take my tail lights apart, but I don't want to screw anything up. The insides are going to be cleaned out and I'm removing the little textured window dealie. Does anyone have a diagram (preferably exploaded view) of how to disassemble the S5 tail lights?

 

do a search for "modernized taillights" or for "taillight mod" i know theres a guy who took his S5s apart and pulled the fuzzy looking plastic out, im pretty sure he tells how to do it but its supposed to be pretty difficult not to crack it

 

ericseven. pm him, hes damned good at what he does. pm him and ask if he can give you a rundown, or walkthough if you will. hell do them for you for sure though.

Oven at low heat, heat gun, or blow drier.

 

Use a hammer. Hit it.... hard. It will come apart.... easily.

The FSM tells you how to take them apart IIRC. It tells you to use a blow dryer to soften the hot melt sealant an then carefully pry it apart.

 

Haha, yeah thats me alright. I'm probably one of the LEAST ricey people on this forum.

 

I think it looks good I just havent seen good enough pics to determine it yet.
