need expert advice

I want to adjust my ignition timing. I'm not sure where to start or even what kind of timing light is required.
Will just any timing light work or is there a certain one that we're suppose to use?
I'm sorry, i just have no clue... Could someone give me an idea where to begin, step by step. I have a Haynes book but it's not thorouh enough to give me confidence.
Thanks,
Sodara

There was something about checking the CAS and making sure it is firing correctly. I guess if you wanted to run more boost you could theoretically retard the timing, but I could be wrong about that.

FSM= Factory Shop Manual.

I'm thinking you should leave it alone. The stock timing is fine unless you're running super boost, at which point you would need an expert to adjust it, not just give advice. Your going to end up blowing a seal.

Did you install a new motor yourself or something?

Search for "timing adjustment" or "adjust timing" or "timing". It's really easy.
