Question need advice on injectors and some other parts

I have a 1988 10th AE TII, and want to do a few minor performance mods. I'd be happy with about 11psi from a turbo (may not end up stock) looking into the walbro 255lph fuel pump, need advice on what injectors to choose for both primary and seconday. second front mounted intercooler to come, I think i need to stick with the stock exhaust ( I live in Massachusetts and we have emissions here ) unless i can find a place to thow a few extra bucks at em to look at an RX-8 emissions readings. ACT Clutch... that's pretty much it.

these are all mods to be done, nothing exists yet, need advice on good idea / bad idea basis. Injectors? Fuel pump? Fueal Pressure Regulator? Turbo? Boost Controler? BOV, 50mm? Chips/mods?

I just figure I would ask for some input on who's done what and what they would have done differently or if they are happy with their choices.

Thank you all for you time and RESPECTFULL replies.

well its all been talked about before. if you search fuel mods. probably you will have a ton of answers.

But what the hell. I ll try to help

If you are planning on running 10 psi of stock turbo. you will need following to be safe

720cc secondaries ( keep stock 550cc primaries )
something to controll the bigger injectors a Rtek 1.7 would be excellent. Or get a SAFC. ( i would favour the Rtek ).

And a walbro 255.

Then you would maybe want to get rid of the 90 degree TID so you can flow a bit more. and maybe get a 2.5 down pipe.

That should give you a nice 10 psi. I would recommend porting the wastegate. but if you stick with stock exhasut and cats. I dont think your car will boost creep.

Now if you can afford it a frount mount intercooler would be nice, specially if you plan on running 10psi DD.

ok,
what is a Rtek or SAFC ??

What is the 90 degree TID ??

Porting the waste gate (I'll search this) but would this be the same as a aftermarket BOV?

Rtek is a chip
SAFC is a fuel computer made by apexi

TID stands for turbo intake duct (the pipe between air filter and turbo)
1300cc.com has a good write up on the TID mod

wastegate and BOV are different
it's best to just look up what each one does

Its not that people don't want to help, its just that the same people have answered the same questions many times, so they get tired of it. Some more than others

A blow off valve (BOV) releases the pressure in the intake created by the turbo when you lay off the throttle suddenly. If it didn't do that, the pressure created by the closed throttle plates would push back into the turbo compressor. This is called 'compressor surge' and its bad

The stock one does this quite fine. A lot of people get aftermarket BOV's vented to atmosphere as a noisemaker...

A wastegate (WG) is used to control the amount of boost you are running. It controls how much exhaust gas reaches the exhaust turbine, by bleeding off the excess (usually back into the exhaust).

Your stock S4 single flapper wastegate is not all that efficient. Porting it to a larger size is a good idea if you are planning on running higher boost.

If I do the Wastegate porting and send my stock turbo out to get tuned and have berrings replaced and what-not would I still be running my 11psi goal or would the wastegate porting drop the levels drastically causing performance to suffer? in that same regard, would i be able to bump the boos up to reach the 11psi mark again?

Wg porting allows you t control your boost. So if you port your wg enough to keep boost at stock levels you will need a boost controller to raise it back up.
