Thumbs up need advice -- bleech dumped in gas.....

i finally did figure out my problem ........ 3 leaky injectors, when i took the 2 primaries out, i smelled bleech(you know clorox kind of bleech.......... smells pretty fishy to me....... But anyhow.... what other damage could occur from this?, i am planning on replacing fuel lines

it was dumped in the gas tank, after the gastank was almost dry, then the car was started(eek!!!) it ran real ruff before stalling... and then never starting again..., so i checked the injectors......... on the first primary, their were >broken peices (not from the gasket), in the injection port, i tried a shop vac, and i really hope that none fell into the engine ............, advice would be appreciated........

bleach breaks down rubber components. They put it on tires and it makes blue smoke instantly during burnouts. This means all new o-rings and fuel lines. Dunno what else.
you sure it is bleach? seems kinda weird.

One man's advice:

Fill a couple of 2-liter bottles with gasoline, stuff a rag in the tops and go to where they park their cars. When you find them, allow them to witness proper combustion as it should be.

If they don't own cars, then start them on a nice baseball bat massage therapy.

If they have a problem with you and don't have enough sack to present that beef with you in person... Then you have to explain to them that attacking your car in unacceptable.

However, actions speak louder than words.

Insurance companies will cover damage to a car from vandalism. The problem you have is proving that is what happened.

You will need a police report and proof the foreign substance was indeed Clorox (or anything poured into your tank for vandalism purposes) to convince the insurance company. You will also need full coverage insurance because liability only will not cover this type of damage. The other problem is having a repair bill high enough to surpass your deductible if you do have full insurance AND can convince the insurance company it was vandalized.

Insurance companies are naturally hinky about these types of claims. Imagine it this way; I need new tires for my car. I slice my own tires, lie to the cops about what happened, and turn it over to the insurance. This is outright fraud and it happens often enough to make insurance companies very leery of true claims like the one you have. They might think you needed a fuel system overhaul and did this yourself to get them to pay for it. I am not by any means calling you crooked, I am just trying to give you the insurance people's view on this sort of claim. Even if you have full coverage you will have a difficult time proving to the insurance company that it really was vandalism.

Don't you hate them peepz?! I really do.. Same thing happened to me only the a$$hole poured paint stripper onto my hood and fenders.. I'm pretty sure it was him 'coz I heard his muffler as he drove off. It happened at about 3am just 5 minutes after I got home from the pool hall. The funny part is, he was there too 'coz we were all friends, or so I thought. I just wish I looked out the window to see him in action so that I can prove and convict his sorry, jealous a$$.... Don't matter, I'm sure he'll be "refunded"..

And by the way, his girl dumped him afterwards and of course he's out of the group...

Exactly the type of situation that I was referring to. I need a new paint job on my car so I pour stripper on it and blame it on vandals. Imagine trying to convince the insurance company that it was vandals. Without clear and convincing evidence that it was vandalized you are gonna have a helluva time proving otherwise.

It takes a genuine lowlife scumbag to vandalize someone's car. I would love to catch the perpetrator in the act.

You should drain whatever gas you have in the tank with the drain plug on the bottom of the tank.

As a cop, have you ever caught someone in the "act" so to speak, of a vandalizing?

In the great state of Texas (i'm not a Texan, i just live here) . If an individual is found vandalizing a person assets on their property, the person has everyright to shoot them..... Even if it's something as trivial as TP on a tree. It's been done before. This is all according to my law Professor.

But in psychology the most exreme male will always set himself as the Alpha male or dominant monkey. So you can't go back and simply key their car. You're gonna have to be more clever than that. if they key, you can't key.....it has to be ten fold. But the problem lies in the fact that you don't know how far THEY are willing to go. You just gotta be 10% smarter than them.

I have never caught someone actually in the act of vandalizing a car, but I have made a few arrests after informants told who the perp was, and upon interviewing him (and her on occasion) managed to get a confession from him. Usually a teenager who bragged to his homies about what he did. They end up spreading the word around untill it gets to the cops.

All our judge has ever done ( to a minor) is sentence the perp to commmunity service and make him pay for the repairs. I have seen him impose a year sentence on an adult vandal. This was a jealous ex husband who was stalking his old lady. This guy broke out all the glass, hammered the car body, slashed the tires and sugared the gas tank. All this was done to a very nice Monte Carlo. I have also seen a nearly new Harley beat to **** by a mad wife after she caught the husband boinking a younger woman.
