Need advice

I am buying from my friend 2 FC's(86 and 89). i haven't went n looked at them for a while but from what i can remember the body on both cars have no rust. but does need repainting.

i know the 86 has an engine but it is blown and the engine was dis-assembled and scatted in the back of the car.

and i know from asking my friend that the 89's onli problem is
1. no engine
2. no tranny
n alreadi wanted to put a tII engine and tranny in the rx7 neways so thats perfect. n my friend dad owns a shop so they will install the engine and tranny 4 me.

but my question is should i buy both cars for $500. or just the 89 for $350. i was just wondering if i should buy both and keep the 89 and sell and/or part out the 86 4 extra cash for my engine/tranny purchase. cuz i am 16 n my money is limited. to about $1,500 just to get the car running. $1,500 is not my limit just dont really wanna spend much more than that. this car will have a RB exhaust since it seems to b seen as the best n has the best hp gains that i knoe of. and also will i be able to run just a tII engine and tranny w/o the driveshft and rearend 4 a little while. cuz like i sed my money is tight im only 16.

i plan to have all this done by the time i get my license which is on sepetember 18th. thanx 4 ur help.

Vincent

if your dough is that limited, just buy the 89. cuz a lot of the main parts on the 86 wont fit the 89 anyway, so why go through the trouble?

if u can have the 500$ to spend, i say buy both. A hanful of stuff will fit off the 86 on the 89, not to mention u can part out the 86 for some spare cash. It never hurts to have an extra fc lying around. (plus if u get money later u could turn the 86 into a track only or project car)

thats exactly y i was wondering if i should buy both. soo i can part out the 86. cuz i could maybe make over 300 buks from parting it out. that money would contribute to the t2 engine/tranny.

Are the body panels and interior there?

You could easily make up that extra $150 and then some by parting out that S4.

that price makes wants me to just sell the car whole. cuz my friend alreadi wants to buy the 86or87(guy 4got which it is) from me 4 $300. but i just thought i could make atleast $300+ parting out car. even if i sell the 86. i will still be takin tha engine wit me and selling tha part. since i alreadi have an offer of 50 buck 4 the housings and he might also want the rotors also. so that is like an extra 100-150. how much culd those go for selling them together. note these parts are from a bown engine.

you DEFF want to get both of the fcs, ive parted out a s4 and got nearly 1 grand outta it + the dissasrmbled engine in the S4 (i knowi will buy some of them parts off you), i def think you would make more money geting both and just the one, or you could part the S5 and fix the s4 since the s5 parts go for more?? just throwing ideas out for you.....

Peaceeee

I made about 1200 parting out the s5 I got, and I still got to keep the engine and gave the tranny/driveshaft to my friend.
