First off the car looks amazing great work. Secondly how do you like that shift ****? Is it too tall? I ask because I bought one a few weeks ago, but I haven't been hom yet so I don't know how it feels or looks or how tall it is yet . Keep up the good work.

yes, I need to recover a bit from my recent spending spree though

Why don't I remember seeing the car at Sevenstock?!
I was in the back of the vendor area at the Auto R&D booth with Rishie... I was right next to that Endless 3rd gen, and with my not so impressive exterior, I'm affraid it was potentially easily overlooked.

...man you musta put a mortgage on your house LOL, j/k
haha....haha, ummm, just don't tell my wife ok?

I love all the little personal touch ups you did
It's all in the details
I'm trying on that... which is the reason I still feel I have a ways to go on teh little stuff. I'm not even sure it's visible in these pics, but has anyone even noticed my custom oil filler neck? It's a modified T2 neck that retains the angle but eliminates that 6" horizontal section... but I wanted something a bit different than just sticking an N/A neck on there.

Secondly how do you like that shift ****? Is it too tall?
I really like it and I think it's a good height... of course I'm currently running the "hack off the top of the shifter" shorter shifter mod, so my lever is pretty short. I will be getting a "real" short throw soon though.

Thanks for the compliments.

That damned car is UGLY!! Plus, there's cat pee in the seat. what kind of sicko are you?

Seriously, though. . .I love what you've accomplished with the car since last year, Chris. It's come a long way, so keep it up!

Keep in mind though, that if I move out there, we WILL be going head to head to maintain the title of 'MOST BAD-ASSED 10TH AE IN AZ.' lol

What are the turbo/motor specs? There are a lot of details under the hood that need to be cleaned up =P, but overall under the hood it looks pretty damn good. I think I'm going to take down my subframe and paint it as you've done, that part looks very nice!

Motor: 89 block with 93 rotors, corner seals, sideseals etc etc. 3 window bearings, hardened stationary gears, oil passage mods, 90psi oil pressure regulator, heavy street port, deep sump oil pan... brand new parts at time of rebuild... built by RP in Tx.

Turbo:
Custom spec'd, garrett BB CHRA slightly larger than a T66 with Garrett Gt series compressor and turbine wheels for increased efficiency. .84 divided T4 turbine housing with 4"V band and 4" down pipe. And of course the tunned manifold with dual 38mm gates. No HP number yet as I finishing things up and getting the waterinjection installed. It will make .7-.8 bar (my W/G spring) in neutral, so I'm pretty happy with the spool so far... we'll see once it's tunned.

What little things would you like to see fixed in the bay? I know there are things (several that I'm not totally happy with)but I"m curious if you see something I don't.

What RPM's do really start to create boost?

Just curious.

BTW: Great looking 7.

I don't mean to bust your bulls, But there just seems to be a lot going on in there, too many hoses, wires etc not hidden. What is your engine harness wrapped in though? Having the harness going through the center of the firewall(heatcore holes) cleans it up a lot. You should have moved your fuses along with your battery, makes it a lot nicer. I'm just a real perfectionist when it comes to under the the hood. No fd uim after all this bling too? But seriously car looks good.

Quite alright I agree there is alot going on in there, and that is one of the things that I need to get taken care of. Perhaps this will explain it a little bit... this is my car 3 weeks before seven stock:

so I didn't have much time to get those things perfected. I can't use the heater core holes b/c at least for now I still plan on retaining A/C and heat. I will drive the car on a regular basis (daily as long as it isn't raining) and I consider those things a necessity in Az. I might could make another hole... but I hadn't really looked at that... I'll have to consider it.

I'm not really sure how moving the fuses would help clean things up? one black box and a few wires in the loom.... but maybe... I'll have to think about that. hehe, I must say that wiring is my least favorite thing. There are certainly things to be cleaned up with the W/G hoses and such though... just time thing.

As for the FD manifold, I'm not really sure that buys you anything... Plus it seems that everyone does that with hi HP cars.... like it's just the thing to do... and I figured the fact that I shaved all the misc bosses off the GTX UIM and polished it make it a little more interesting than just sticking an FD UIM on it. To each his/her own though

The steering wheel is great. I was honestly a little hesitant when I got it, but after getting it in the car I love it. The size is great and it's very comfortable. The shifter is nice too. It totally sucks have those things sitting in a box for weeks (months?)

Thanks for the comments and keep the critiques

-Chris

What are those two shinny things that adorn the drivers side of the engine bay, sitting next to the IC piping on either side of the strut bar, that look kinda like BOV's..but obviously aren't cuz you have your tial mounted on the pass side?

I'm not sure on boost response just yet. I do know that the wastegate is open in first gear (.8 bar right now) I think an idle roll on in second the W/G opens early 3000 RPMs... but I'm not that sure. I'll try to pay attention better.

I wish I had more at this time. I need to get the car through emissions so I can get it registered again I'm set for a tunning session at the end of Nov. which should give me some time to finish up little things like the aquamist and finshing other details.

I'm only running .7bar right now since it isn't fully tunned but even at that it feels very fast. The W/G opens in 1st gear and is pretty much open after that, so the boost response is very quick... A roll on in 2nd is showing ~10psi before 3000 RPM, and this will have no problem flowing till redline.... just need that dang tunning

As for the body I"m still waiting on the rest of the Amemiya parts and my CF hood (see group buy section). Once finished it will have a complete Amemiya body kit cowl, sideskirts, rear spoiler, mirrors and an R-Magic rear bumper skirt, plus the hood, so it should be pretty sweet. It will retain the factory 10thAE white, tails and badges and S4 moldings. Unfortunatley it will probalby be several months before all the body work is finished though

The steering wheel is a Momo Evo Millenium.

Thanks for the interest,

-Chris
