I hereby dub that part the "trailing arm control link", because I've never heard what the real name of it is.

 

its called the lateral link. I broke mine as well. You can get them at the mazdarecyclers website for 50 bucks shipped. the FSM says that it unbolts and pulls right out but on mine it lookes like you need to do more. I suppose that if you jac the car up and support it someplace other than the wheel or suspension it may pull out. Or go to FS/wanted section to ask for one Some dude had one to sell for like 35-45 bucks. I got one free from my buddy. good luck
