Probably some kind of mounting point for the ABS pump that would have been on that car at one time. Looks like whoever removed the ABS did a **** poor job too.

BTW, your windshield wiper motor is missing too.

its from my parts car, so i dont plan on reusing any of it. i was just curious because i've never seen the ABS system on a 7 and wanted to make sure that it was something that came with the car, not some weird freak redneck add-on the previous owners did or something... yay Alabama ingenuity....

edit: i also notticed that the wiper motor was gone when i was checking out the car, but my shell has one, so its all good.

Nope, that's definitely the ABS unit... Note how all of the brake lines are bent all up and connected into a block... On my TII, they didn't even do that, just barrel connected a few lines together to loop it back around. It looks terrible!

The big white connector is the ABS Connector.

I've never gotten to drive a 7 with ABS, but if it was like all the other 80s vehicles I drove with ABS, I probably would have ripped it out too

definitely the ABS unit as mentioned above. the 2 white plugs near it are the ABS harness and go to the ABS computer. you can just rip all that stuff out. it looks like someone already disabled the system.

it dose not run. the main 80a fuse was popped. i didnt have any tools to scavenge one off another car to test. but once i get the car here im goin to replace all the fuses and see if it'll crank. is there any way to turn the engine by hand? (if possible) i'll need to take a closer look at it once im here to see if it'll crank, heres a pic of the belts.

i plan on saving it. i just need to get it at my house to evaluate whether or not to use that frame, or my 88's frame (missing a trans mount). but either way in the end im goin to keep both frames and hopefully have 2 running TII's way down the road. as for the spoiler, i only have 1 good pic of it right now, so i duno if its the factory one or the Fishline your talkin about.

1k for this parts car. all its missing is: wheels, seats, cargo area carpet, fule pick up, and it has some water damage on the int. (someone left the hatch open all the time in the junkyard and rain got in it.

while my other car i have is a 88 T II as well, only probs with it is: no engin, trans, drive shaft, engine harness, trans support bracket. and one of the actuall rans brackets was riped out. driver power mirror is cracked, but still works, theres only 1 bubble of ruts on the entire thing, the sunroof, and the outer window seals, but previous owner tossed in new ones for free. and theres 2 chip parks in the windshield and some one did a DIY tint job thats peeling off now.
but the good is that the electrics work, cept the radio, no rips on the lthr seats, and minor dings. the parts car has little to no dings as well, but paint is baked and rough. i payed 2k for my parts, just because the owner knew it was in good condition and everything, heres a link to all the pictures i have of it.

Good job on wanting to save it! But be careful of rust, sitting on dirt for so long is no good for a car and having rainwater soaked into the carpets scares me too. As soon as you get it, tear the whole interior out and dry the hell out of everything, then invest in a coating of POR-15 or some other kind of anti-rust coating. But damn, $1k for that? They're crazy! Well, I guess it's not a bad deal if the motor isn't blown. Good luck!!

I definately got lucky with my car...

I got my 88TII for 1000$ in 05. DUde thought the tranny was busted. I cranked it and reved it. As soon as it reved passed 3,000 rpms the whole car would shake..
I laughed inside and got it for a G. towed it home. Ordered a stock clutch for 130$
ANd it drove like a champ!!!=D For 3 years till i popped my engine 3 months ago.

Thats how i got into rotaries. If not I would still be driving a z31 turbo.

thanks for the support guys, i really appreciate it. i plan on letting the int dry out and pulling it out so its bare metal. i might move my 88 shell into the yard and the 87 into the garage to ases the rust damage. its actually sitting on 2 spare tires right now, but it all looks just like surface rust here and there, if not, its more than likely Alabama red mud, it stains most anything. i'll defiantly post more pictures and updates as i move further along in this 87T -> 88T project.
