na-----> turbo using tII engine
hey whats up.
i got a 88' GXL automatic
its got a 13b n/a with blown apex seals
(engine smelled like fried chicken when it blew)
anyway i was mulling around in my head the idea of doing a v8 swap...... then i figured too much hassle for my limited working space and budget
recently my friend found a working and running 13 b turbo out of a turbo II.... i was wondering if anyone could help me out as far as finding out what i need to swap out to make it work in my car.
if at all possible i would like to keep my auto because i dont feel like replacing my whole floor pan to put a manual in... any help would be greatly appriciated
thanks
sammy d
ps: any info could be emailed to me..... djsammydjr@yahoo.com

ummm it should say on the side fenders if its a special model (ie GXL, GTU, GTUs if your lucky) otherwise its just a base model S4 is the 86-88 2nd Gen RX-7's and 89-92 is the S5, again most of this is in the FAQ section

I'll go ahead and answer all your Q's though
S4 or 5 means "Series 4 or 5"
S4: 1986-1988 FC3S RX7s
S5: 1989-1991 FC3S RX7s
Horsepower ratings:
S4 N/A: 146 BHP
S4 TII: 182 BHP
S5 N/A: 160 BHP
S5 TII: 200 BHP
How to distinguish... most easily by the molding around the car, and by the tail lights/front bumper.
S4 cars all have black trim around the car. The tail lights are also horizontal "bars." An S5 car has the body's color as the trim color, and the tail lights are circular.

Yours is a S5 91 coupe. That's it.
AGAIN, if you would just read the FAQ, you would have found this:
https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...hreadid=249616
Its also on the front page here. "What came with my FC"
This has all the different models listed, and what options they had and were available.
