N/A to turbo II engine transplant

Does anyone know what is involved in putting a N/A motor in a Turbo II and keeping the turbo setup? I have a buddy who just bought a '87 Turbo II that needs an Apex seal and he has a '86 N/A with a running motor. He wants to put the N/A motor in the Turbo II so he can check for damage and built the turbo motor but was wanting to know if he has to do anything special to keep the Turbo setup on the Engine? Any help is appreciated.

If your talking about putting the turbo on the N/A motor....it does not just bolt up. There's a fellow somewhere on this forum that made an adaptor for bolting the turbo to the na, but it takes some fabrication ability i.e. tools and imagination. If I remember who it was I'll write back. Wasn't so long ago that he made an update. Within the last two weeks. He had a picture or pictures. Frankly speaking, its not worth the effort. You could use the same effort and money rebuilding the turbo engine. Maybe just put the na engine in the car and run it as a na instead of a turbo until you repair the turbo engine. But thats still a bit of money, what with the exaust, counterweights, flywheel etc.
