If you have a replacement shortblock engine, I will install it for $675 complete and retuned.

Get 'em while there hot... (and I'm desperate)

I'm going to trust my engine install to someone who doesn't know what a turbo timer does?

Give the guy a break, he asking to do NA swaps not turbo, therefore he doesn't need to know what a turbo timer is.

No offense, but I just done a 85 FB the other day took about 7 hours, I even cut cats off and removed all the emissions ****, I charged $300, $50 extra for the other **** Ive only done one FC, but it aint that much harder.. Are you supplying gaskets or something ot merit that price?

Im supplying gaskets, yes.

But i would assume that any self respecting mechanic would.
I also clean and test all parts.
Also, i dont hack off peices.

I do stock work.
Meticulously.

You wont find better.
Ill put my engine swaps up against anyones.

ANYONES.

You cant buy better.
I guarantee it.

Im not being cocky, just honest.

I have customer comments to back this up.
You can do a search.
there are a few here on the forum.

For the job I do, I should charge more!

This is a discounted rate to get as many swaps as I can.

I become personally involved in the cars wellbeing after they leave.

I check up monthly on the cars I have worked on for MONTHS after they leave here and give free tuneups for months after too...

I take my work personally.

Besides... FBs are simpler to swap.
right?

Personally I dont see that a Fc is much harder to do? Basically the same, except the mounting location of the motor... But anyways, $300 + price of a gasket kit, and good follow ups is proablly worth $600 or so Good luck man

Personally I dont see that a Fc is much harder to do?

Actually, because of all the EFI plumbing, allot more dismantling and putting back together work to pull the engine. Throw in the injectors, oil meters, vacuum hoses all over the place compared to a FB. So, more things to go wrong in the process.

And, I'll take a meticulous mechanic over a speed mechanic anytime. Just like I'd want a finish carpenter instead of a framer to build a kitchen cabinet.

And, the guy needs primary income, not side income for pocket change.

Cut the guy some slack.

Sheesh.
