My stock boost raised up

Hey guys, I was just talking to another RX7 friend of mine about 7s the other day. I told him that when I first got my bone stock 87 TurboII, it was pushing around 6-7lbs of boost. But recently, I bought RB downpipe + presilencer, K&N intake, and Corksport's catback, and now when I floor it, its pushing 10lbs. Immediately, my friend's jaw dropped and he said I'm running near 3rd boost. Also said, I should upgrade injectors. Is that a right move? I RARELY push the car to 10lbs cuz its my daily driver car and usually never go past 5lbs. But if ever, some rice rocket pulled up next to me and I decided to make them **** in their pants, would ungraded injectors be a good decision? What else could, or should I do? Its still the stock turbo with a rebuilt motor. I'm not planning on upgrading anything major (turbo, rotors, engine) just minor stuff like an electric fan, some wheels, and maybe a rollcage. (I'm an autocrosser and drifter so I don't need super amount of horsepower, just enough to play )

Any ideas? Starting to worry if I could be killing my engine because I dont have larger injectors.

Thanks,
Kevin

hmmm...

Upgraded inejectors/fuelpump as well as a secondary fuel computer would be wise for maximum tunability and reliablility

you have a time bomb on your hands right now. you need to upgrade your fuel system. when the weather gets cold one day, boom time for a new motor.

Thing is that when the weather is real cold you are going to accidentally go above 10psi. I would go get a s-afc now and tune it a little rich at least. Then port your wastegate to lower the boost. For the time being you could put the stock intake back on. Just some suggestions.

If I do upgrade the injectors, what should I get? And what fuel pump?

hmm

just try to restrict the flow a little bit

You don't want to pull 10 PSI on a stock fuel system (sure the stock fuel system can handle it, even the stock ECU can handle upgraded injectors without a secondary fuel computer....HOWEVER...

If you get any boost spikes AT ALL above 10 PSI....chances are you will blow your engine, and that could happen simply from more O2 in the mix (colder air).

I too will be driving around without upgraded fuel system this year making around 9-11 PSI if I am not careful...its not a really big deal...but "BOOTING it around" could cost you your engine.

I think you could be safe by just getting a s-afc and tune a little more fuel in there. Thats what I plan to do and then port my wastegate and get some 720s injectors after that.
