Agh, I'm not too sure on this actually. Does it feel like you are getting misfire? Or is the car just generally bogging down? If it is the n/a do you think the 5th and 6th ports may not be functioning?

I'm guessing a cat, fuel filter, or 6-port issue.
Clogged cats will greatly effect your top end. If they are original and you have some mileage on the car, I would consider replacing or removing completely. This of course depends if you have to pass emissions. www.rx7.com sells Bonez cats which work well.
Fuel filters clog over time. If you don't remember the last time it was replaced, then replace it. As fuel demand increases in the upper rpm range, a slightly clogged filter will reveal itself.
Finally, the 6-ports. You can tell if they are working by smearing some grease on the rod of the actuator. Take the car for a drive, and redline it under a load a few times. Check the grease to see if it's smeared. If so, they are opening. You can also try to work them with your fingers. The rod should contract easily with pressure from your hand. If not, it is carboned up and you will need to remove the intake manifolds to clean it up. I am in the process of doing the same to my S5.

Aux. ports are not needed to reach redline or beyond. They just prevent torque from dropping off as sharply. The grease test also doesn't really work on S5s, since the actuator rods push out to rotate the sleeves.
I've seen a number of threads where someone had a problem hitting a wall at 5-6k RPM, and in every case it was a secondary injector problem. A plug may be off or loose, the wiring may be damaged, or an injector may just be plugged.
