My perfect launch

Last night I was cruising around... Came to a light and of corse 3 mustangs were all over me. NO JOKE!!

I reved my motor to 7k about 10 times to shoot some flames hehe.!!.. Then the light turned green and I launched my car. Noone else was racing me but oh well.

I let the clutch about half way at at 4500 rpm. My turbo was probably already spinning really fast because I was reving to 7k just before. Once I was going about 20mph I let the clutch completely out and florred the gas. There was no bogging, no slipping, no wheelspin or anything. It was just smooth, fast acceleration. It had to be under 2 seconds 60 foot time. Im telling you everything was perfect. The tires gripped, the clutch was just soft enough (50k miles so its a little worn) and the rpm/clutch action was right on target. One passenger so evenly weighted. Im telling you I was 75 feet away from other cars before I could even think! (No one was racing me). My buddy siting next to me has a 5.0 mustang and he couldnt even stop complimenting how well I launched!! SWEET!!!!!!

The sad part is I tried to launch like that again later and I just got wheelspin and bogging. Damn these things are so hard to launch!!

I was just wondering how you are only seeing 6psi with the RB exhaust? Do you just have the catback or what? No intake either?

My exhaust is full turbo back. The black one.

I have an S5 turbo with an upgraded compressor side. its a Grand National compressor, I believe its a T3 "Super" 60 trim but the former owner does not know. its got a 2.8" inlet and 2.5" outlet.

Its great! I get no creep at all even in 4th gear on the highway. I think its cause s5 turbo's have better wastegates cause mine isnt even ported!

No intake mods... Im hitting 74-78% airflow on my SAFC. Turbo efficiency baby!

A perfect launch feels SOOOOO good! I know it absolutely immediately, at the about 70 FT mark I am already ecstatic!

this is somewhat related, but onetime in my truck i launched as perfect as it gets. off the line i had the gas to the floor and the clutch all the way out with no bogging and no wheelspin. i didnt have to ride the clutch even for a split second, immediate engagement, felt good

I hit a 1.71 60' time the other night at the track, but that was on slicks.
