Are my oil injectors working?

Hey Y'all (a little texas talk to lighten the mood),

I just changed out the Oil Injector lines on my '87TII and got the engine started almost the first try (also replaced all the vac and fuel lines whilest it was apart).

Anyway, here's the Q of the Day:

How do I confirm that the oil injector system is doing it's job? I know it's critical to the engine running more than a few hours, but how do ya know?

Also, can I run pre-mix in the beginning just to be safe?

Also, also, how to I run pre-mix - (how much oil?... just pour it in the tank?...what, what, what?)?

Questions, questions!

Thanks,000,000 for everyone's help during this - my most ambitious yet - project.

One last question....

It seems I've missed a connection or something, as the tachometer works for a few seconds after starting, then just goes dead - the needle drops quickly to zero. Any thoughts on what I mighta left unplugged?

There's no real way to check your oil injectors.

As for premix, yes you can can throw some premix in just to be safe. Since you are using your OMP then safe would be a .5OZ to 1 Gallon or .75OZ to 1 Gallon. I run premix with no OMP and mix 1oz to 1 Gallon. I just put the oil in the tank then fill it up. Maybe it's not the best, but my car runs great!

Thanks for the input! I'll go with the premix for now.
