My new 90 GXL

Hey everyone! I'm happy to say i just bought a 1990 GXL for 1500!

Runs strong, passed smog yesterday. All stock under the hood and the AAS doesnt work =[

I have a couple of questions though.

The seat belt on the drivers side is shot. The cable for the belt on the track is hanging out of the door, and is stuck towards the top. Anybody know if the seatbelts have a lifetime warranty on them like nissans do?

Also both the windows are in need of some help. The driverside doesn't work at all while the passenger side needs help about 2/3 of the way up before it starts going on its own.

I'll be posting pictures later on today hopefully. plan on putting a sound system in today.

Thanks guys! And I'm happy to finally be driving a 7 again. =D

The automatic seat belts have a recall on them basically they just replace them and when they break again they replace them again.

Niiiice, thats good to hear. And about the windows...is it a common problem for the motors to go or is it more of a track problem? Also does anyone have experience in how hard of a job this will be? I just want to get the windows working before summer

I never personally like windows down in my fc, I think it's the way I sit. But my ac blows cold enough to make you cold during our hot cali summers hehe, can't complain bout that

Yeah the belts go to dealership and they do it, take pics of the interior pillar trim n such. They broke both of mine, had to keep it there over night (Shocked they got _new_ ones in one day o.o) I've herd horror stories where they don't replace what they break, so thats my only tip.

The windows, well mine seem kinda sticky I've never touched any other FC besides mine, so I'm not really a big opinion, but I'd say your driver side motor probably died OR the switch, and the both sides probably have sticky tracks

I'd just remove the door panels (Gonna need too to replace the door speakers ;-) ) and take alook at the windows, if you know electric circuits, try to jump start the driver side motor
