my neverending quest

so my cars been out for a very long time, blew the coolant seal a few years ago it sat then i got a s5 engine put it in took forever to find out that the injectors were different impedance, by the time i found that out and the time it took me to get injectors the shed my car was in got taken away by a tornado....lost the s5 intake so about a year pases and my friend put on the s4 intake and the damn thing ran.....but then caught fire because of the exaust gas return port we turned it off after a drive and it backfired once and caught up...so it sat for a couple months and i got a new wiring harness..still sat for a while til i finnaly got my s5 intake so i just got everything put back on everything all hooked up, i primed the fuel lines i go and crank it over it tries to start...but it doesnt wanna fire up totaly..theres a bit of light smoke when i crank it any suggestions to help me get this puppy fired up? im so excited cause this was my first car and my first love and its been years since ive got to drive it, i even missed the rotarty bbq here in ks this year....HELP
