Thumbs up My homebrew FMIC - progress

basically its a conquest TSi stock intercooler with the mounting tabs. A Saab 900 charge pipe, some exhaust piping, the stock connectors for the TII plus some additional ones, a used BOV .

this is sorta where its at. now im just testing how i want it to be routed. and the large opening on the charge pipe is being cut off and a 45* connector is replaceing it to keep the size uniform.

"A" for effort

"A" for ingenuity

"A" for doint it yourself and not making a giant mess out of everything

"C" for pipe work.......... I really don't like that "turbo" pipe.. necks down too much in the middle.....

Now take some advice.....

SWITCH BACK TO THE STOCK FAN.......

My FMIC sits in EXACTLY the same location as yours

my core is a bit bigger and as a little more air flow through it to the radiator and, I can't use an E-Fan even with my Koyo Rad.... At 65 MPH... once the fan kicks off, my temps gradually rise back up to over 200 and the fan kicks back on.... I'm going to try a panspeed vent hood in the spring to see if that helps... but right now, the stock fan is back on and the car stays rock solid at 186 degrees, all the time.

Thats where the greedys have an advantage, more air flow to the rad because the friggin core is HUGE...
