My Guages are slow to react...
On my 87 RX-7 GXL N/A, my oil pressure sensor doesn't work(not the problem, wait theres more) and the rest of the guages needles get to there status reeeaaall slooowww. For example, my gas meter was at the 1/4 tank mark, I filled it up($14.00!!) to full. When I started my FC, by the time I had turned out of the gas station, it finally read that I was full of gas(22seconds?). For my coolant guage, another example: I started my car in the morning before school, I waited 2 minutes, looked at the guage and it was 1/16(give or take) from 1/4. I got to the right setting 6 minutes later. My battery guage is fine, its a little above the middle(14?), and my speedometer and RPM guage works.
Question 1: Is it the fuses?
Question 2: Is it because the pressure sensor one doesn't work?
Question 3: Is it because the car is too old?
Question 4: Is it because of the battery?
Question 5: Is this a "calm before the storm" pre-warning?
All help is Really appreciated. You guys know more than I do.

You expect things to be instant, my gas gauge takes more then a min to hit full. Why would you want the coolent gauge to shoot up? it takes about 10-15 mins for me before it's at the middle

I don't expect everything to shoot up in a second, I'm just wondering if this is normal. I guess you already answered the question.

Oh well the warm up, you live in a cold area, have you had your 7 during summer? Mine will rise quite quickly during summer...
Gas, it's always like that for me, I think it's slow so that when you go up hill and such (get me?) it doesnt go up and down :P
Also your gas should be fine slightly below the empty line, if you start going up hill slightly she'll chug, if your 7's chugging a bit you still got a bit of gas to go home.
I've never ran out of gas, and that was quite a few miles o.o

This is like that comedian talking about how impatient younger generations are. (although I happen to also fall under that category)
Kid: What is taking my self phone so long to load the web page?
"... chill out its going to space..... FREAKING SPACE!"

Well I said "Also your gas should be fine slightly below the empty line, if you start going up hill slightly she'll chug, if your 7's chugging a bit you still got a bit of gas to go home."
which means what you said "The second the needle is fully over the orange mark that marks empty"
Except I can go a few miles, you can't? I get the sputters but it's not that bad
