My first OMP bust

After some extravagant diagnosis in lieu of finding an oil leak I came to find this:

The thread came out with the bolt as I was removing it.

As a wise technician once told me, heat up the bolts before you remove them if they are in aluminum metal. You should have definitely felt some resistance when loosening that bolt.

Actually, that hole was loose all along, removing others was a bit hard. Thanks for the tip tho. I was hesitant to use a torch as it would melt the oil feed lines.

Shouldn't you heat up the aluminum around the bolt instead?

You can, but most of the time it's the bolt that has some sort of locking compound/corrosion which heat helps loosen up.
