My FC vs. Integra GSR
1: weight reduction
2: intake/header/exhaust
wire 6 ports
S-afc. or megasquirt, depending on which you would prefer.. megasquirt will make more power but is easily 10 times more complex.
and then tuning.
Stock vs. Stock they're pretty even in the twisties.... :P

well on some websites i checked 1/4mile times and both cra run around the same the gs-r runs 15.5 and the Rx-7 is a 15.7 so its really a drivers race, the gsr gas 10 more horses but the rx7 has about 20 more torque
where did these numbers come from?? a stock s4 is down in the 16's, i pulled two ls integras hard from about 40 thats the best i have done, and im stock. and sure the rx7 has more torque then the gsr, but the gsr makes alot more low end which gives it the advantage at the lights.
if he beats you in the straights, take him to the twisties and spank him

The integra gsr has 30 more hp and 10 less torque than a 88 FC na. Making the FC better in low end, and the integra gsr better in top end. the gsr would probably run .75 better in the quarter, but depends on driver too.

full tune up(oil, oil filter gas filter, wires, and spark plug,& oxegine sensor<makes a world of defrince) fix any vacume leak, install a cold air intake if not installed already, up grade to a 3inch doul exhaust. remove ac compressor and install a none power stearing rack so you can get everything accept for alt off the pullys. install a electric fan(efan).. drop the front and get some nice bridgston tirs...use reg(86)gas....and i think thats a good start!
If the car is in good condition then header and exhaust will allow you to pull. My S4 pulled a type-r (14.7s 1/4 stock) with full exhaust, filter, and a lightened flywheel (really only helps in the lower gears), but im pretty sure he was short shifting so Id say it was about even, he may have been a little quicker.
Both my NA's ran very high 16's and low 17's. It depends on your motors health. Most of them aren't that great now unless you've rebuilt them.
Oh and pvd212.
An oxygen sensor won't help make his car quicker. It is only used to improve fuel economy when your not WOT. 3inch dual exhaust may be over kill as well. True Duals in 2.5 may be beneficial but as long as your able to keep the 5/6th ports functioning still.

i have a s4 na and i have a straight exhaust, im pretty sure my ports arent working, and i pulled dirty on a LS teg, i beat him by like 3 cars, im a pretty good driver, and he well sucks hahaa, but i also beat on another ls with exhaust and intake the reason i didnt beat him by alot is becuase i missed third.
My NA is quick for some reason i truely dont know, i kept up with a turbo gti hatch he coudlnt get infront of me for nothing

get rid of your cat's, and put a free flowing exhaust(wired ports, or rpm electic activation) with an intake on a healthy n/a motor and you will take him. On the launch you should smoke him. The rear wheel drive launch is much much better than a front wheel drive launch especially if you have lsd.
Swap on a S5 intake manifold, this will give you 10+ hp above 5000 rpm and extend your power usage to around 7500-8000 rpm.
Cold Air Intake makes a big difference
Wide Open Exhaust, this is the biggest power robbing portion of the FC I think it has. The stock exhaust is very very restrictive.
After that, even without the SAFC you should be able to take him. SAFC will give you some extra ponies. though.
Also advance your timing about 5 degrees. This will help burn the air and fuel better since the motor runs a little rich to begin with. Advancing my timing made a big difference above 5000 rpm and helped in the low end as well.
Hell no! How come when anyone asked about what mods they should do to their car, everyone always says, "remove sleeves" or" wire your ports open". removing your sleeves will not help with power. Actually it will hurt you down low where you need power to get off the line but will have the same power up top. The port in the sleeves are actually bigger then the port on in the housings of the motor.
Wiring them open will do the same. If you wire them up because you have no other way to open them, thats fine, but don't wire them open to think you will get more power from it.
Try to hook them up electronically using a RPM switch and a lumbar air pump or similar. There are other ways people have got them to work without exhaust back pressure just do a quick search.
3" is just WAAAYYYY to big for n/a. Bigger is not always better my friends. 2.5" is the max you should ever go for a n/a. Single will be lighter, you just need to find a way to keep the noise down.
My 88 N/A has held its ground with a few rx8s. They were not able to gain on me. Civics, some maximas, Turbo diesals which are pretty damn quick when modified. One gave me a run for my money once. If the air temp is right the little rotor motor keeps pulling and pulling and nver stops.

Just take the sleeves out and run a 3" single, I imagine it saves weight too.

I just ran my buddies 92 civic hatch with a full gsr swap he has an intake and dc header. with my bald tires he got me about half a car on launch but i pulled him in second and third...definatly faster than an s2000 but no match for the 7!
