The box may not be able to go the other way. But you could unscrew the speakers and twist them around.

well, I could flip the speakers but its really not worth all that. The car is not much to look at, has alot of miles, bone stock... I just use it for work. plus there is a badge on the corner of the speaker that would be upside down still if I flipped the speakers.

here is a pic of the car itself:

Here's a constructive critique, you should place those 4 speakers on the doors in order to achieve a better sound. You won't achieve audiophile sounds, nor competition sounds by doing so, but it will be an improvement..................100% guaranteed

Well I bought all the speakers before I looked to really see where I was going to mount them (I had my mind set on a certain setup ..brand & size). And when I tried to put them in the doors ... they were way to deep to even come close to fitting. So, the next best place was right behind my head

looks good i bet it sounds good too, haveing subs upside down wont have any effect good or bad, what will have a big effect is facing the subs up or back so they have something to hit agains, otherwise your lookin @ blwoin something if they dont get any feedback, it would sound more clear and harder..try facing them up or backwards. ive had alot of different set ups in my 7, nothing worked better than a 1200 watt 12 sub and a good amp faced about 10 inches from the hatch, you can see the windows flex

Oh yeah? I had a 1200x2 amp pushin 2 12"s and a full pioneer component set up (2 6x10s, 2 61/4, 2 1.5", 2 5") in the S-10 I traded in for my rex. It would set off car alarms at 100 yards, and that was in an extended cab pickup! Now, I can't hear for **** and I am only 19!! Lessons learned...

i have 2 10's in my car and you can't even see them. i built a box that fits in the spare tire well. it is about the size of the spare too. it even sounds good with the cover over it. unless u know what to look for no one even knows it's there. i don't need some 12's or 15's to go deaf but even with only 250 watts the thing slams. i got pics if someone can upload them for me

Hmmmm...... I love JL audio subs, I have 2 10W-0's in my Ranger, I had 4 12W-6's in my 87 TII, I doubt I am gonna put a stereo on my 86 GXL though, maybe just a nice factory speaker upgrade. I was hitting a 128 I beleive on a SPL meter.

Nice setup. Im not really ever impressed with spending soo much $ on speakers. I figure i could buy plenty of other stuff on my car to replace or upgrade.
