My engine value

Hey guys a few months ago I bought a 13bre that was bridgeported and 3mm seals , it came just with the intake manifolds and the shortblock , no paperwork we went back and forth because it took long for the seller to ship and then he only shipped the block and I just got the manifolds like three weeks ago. I ended up spending 1300 I
Got the alternator too. now I was looking to get a honest and realistic value of it I wanted to sell it or was entertaining the idea of the racing beat Ida but just an idea thanks for your time guys

Without paperwork, I'd say less than 1300, but I could be wrong. I am sure others will chime in.'

I wouldn't pay 1300 for something I had no real idea what was inside.

ditto, i know of a nice TII with only a few hours on it for $600. Hard to test when it's sitting on the floor though.

Who did the port work/machining/assembly? I wouldn't even want the motor unless the work was done by someone reputable. Has the motor ever ran? Could just be a paper weight.

That is the the problem I had taught about taking it to a builder I know in metuchen nj I forgot the name of the shop but do you guys think a builder would be willing to tell me how good or bad the motor is, because I think I'm just going to buy another t2 block that a member is selling and trying to see if the motor is good and then try to sell it , I really fucked up on this one, thanks guys

Best case scenario is upon tear down and inspection no hard parts are needed, seal the motor back up and off you go.

Ok so this will be my plan I'll buy the t2 motor rebuilt and streetported I already have a Bnr stage 3 and rtek 2.1 for it and the rest of the parts and me and my boy will tear down the motor and see how it is I figure I'll hook up s transmission and do a compression test before tear down, thanks for the guidance guys

I just wouldn't trust a mystery motor like that...could have a pinched coolant seal, could have really dodgey port work, there's just no telling.

On the other hand it could be totally fine and everything as advertised...but so often that isn't the case. I wouldn't want to get everything installed only to find out I installed a botched motor.
