My cross country FC trip!

Well everyone, just thought i would let you all konw what im up to...

i saw that other thread posted about cross country trips and so here is mine..

as i type i am sitting in a super 8 motel on the wifi...

I started in harrisonburg Va and am now in St. Charles IL... i drove about 11 hours today in the FC (1987 N/a)

The only thing i noticed is that the temp guage was reading a little bit higher then usual... it usally is at about 1/4 of the guage, and it was about 1/3 of it today... i think it is due to the fact that i have the car COMPLETLY LOADED with all my **** from college...

Day one went well with no problems whatsoever (other then the price of gas!! )

It should be a nice drive tom.!

i will be going to Kimbal Nebraska tomorrow which is about 800 miles! wish me luck!

from there, its idaho (700 miles)

and then back home to Salem oregon which is about 7 hours from there!!

well, as i sit here typing, i am in my hotel in Nebraska and made it here with no problems at all... everything is going perfect! people say that FC's are not reliable.. this is a good show as to how nice a well maintained rotary can perform!

these are the maps that i made of my trip... locations have changed because i did better then i thought i would... but you get the idea...

i drove cross country in my 03 lancer from Jacksonville NC to Little Rock Arkansas. stayed 2 days with wifes aunt then drove straight till wyoming. stayed for a couple hours to sleep then headed into Utah to visit family. stayed a week, then went to montana for 2 days to visit my younger brother. then i drove to Washington and stayed with a friend of mine for 4 days before flying to Japan. stayed 5 days in Tokyo then down to Okinawa.

the drive sucked but it was a great trip.

haha!!! right on man

as far *** the *** goes, its usually good for like 7 hours, but after that it starts to get swore!

the way i see it is if i dont fill my tank up all teh way every time, i have an excuse to pull off and get gas! it works good... walk around a sec and your good to go... especially for me cuz i have a broken Fibula right now and i just got the cast off.. so streching time is needed for sure!

well everyone, as of last night i made it to oregon all in one piece!

overall it was a great trip and the FC never gave me a bit of trouble! i changed my oil right before the trip and now 2.9k miles later, its time to do it again! haha, my oil is about 5 days old and its time to change!!

It was a good chance to see different places of the country and see places that i know i never want to live in! like Kentucky.. omg that place is a **** hole... haha

anyways, thanks everyone for your verbal support!

I took "the trip" twice in my FD(once in 51 hours tag teaming it) and ive never had such good times. Im glad you're brave enough and free spirited enough to enjoy it. Most people wont make the trip in an RV let-alone an Rx7. Congratulations.

Right on man, glad you made it!
FCs are great when properly maintained.
You guys aren't too far from me, maybe next time I'm up in the salem area you can show me some good roads.
