Go unplug the EGI fuse and pull a spark plug out and ground it out to the frame (dont hold it) and crank the car once or twice to see if it arcs onto the frame...

You mins well call in sick because you're going to be here a long time.
1) The EGI fuse (those little yellow, red, blue plastic things in the black box below your feet) will disable the injectors that way when you turn it over it doesnt throw fuel all over the spark plugs when the spark plugs are on the chasis grounding out and make a nice fireball.
2) The spark plugs are what spark the combustion process (ignite the fuel, blahblah) they are where the blue/black wires run to, you know the big long ones (spark plug wires).

the egi fuse is in the engine bay in the fuse box
if you refer to here theres alot of helpful things
https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/faq-fc-frequently-asked-questions-2nd-generation-rx-7-a-181219/
go down to where it shows the cover to the fuse boxes, the EGI comp if i rememeber correctly is the one that you want to pull out, the 30A
also check to make sure that none of your fuses are blown, does your car make a clicking sound whwen u try to start it? Does the engine even turn over at all?

Ok i found a thing by the motor that says EGI on it. I took the cover off and there is a funny looking square thing there. Is this the egi fuse? I pulled on it and it came out. I thought I may have broke it but it goes right back in. Now what?>

The car is probably flooded. Have you followed the unflooding proceedure found in the FAQ for FC sticky thread at the top of this section?

icemark, I have no idea what you just said.
Zero, i took the cover off of something that said EGI on it. The drawing looked like the square things inside so I took out the square thing that was in teh same place as the EGI thing on the drawing. Now what?

this is what icemark was refering to, like how i said to go to that link that i previously putted in
"My car doesn't start
Remember when starting a fuel injected car you should never pump or press the accellerator pedal, but if it won't start it is probably flooded, Hold the accelerator pedal all the way down while cranking, do not pump the pedal. If it still doesn't start after a few tries, Then remove the EGI fuse and crank a couple more times, then re-install the fuse and try starting again. If then the car still fails to start it then you need to remove and clean the spark plugs, put in a teaspoon of ATF into the lower sparkplug holes, re-install the spark plugs and try again. Make sure you change your oil after you have started and run the car ASAP."
