No, it wont start even with the egi fuse taken out. Blown engine? Like, my engine is shot? How could it have blown overnight? it ran great yesterday

 

If you plan on owning an RX7 you better start learning.

With the EGI fuse out, disregard the spark plug & wires what I was talking about. Start cranking for about 4-5 seconds then stop, put the EGI fuse back in, without touching the pedal at start the car.

If it doesn't start you've got more issues than we can see, where are you located at, if your local to a rotary head they might be able to help you out.

 

oil deprivation for a rotary is like takin away oxygen from a human being

in fact i dont know how your car has been running this long without a oil change

how often did you run it????
oil changes are recommend every 3-5k miles

 

Ok i will go put the fuse back in and try it. I live Nebraska. I just moved here and dont know anyone besides a couple old ladys at my work. What is Rotary Head? Is that like Autozone? We dont even have an autozone here. Had one where i use to live. Thats where i got my air fresheners for my car (i fart alot).

I put the fuse back in and it made a sputtering noise but didnt start.

ok ok, lets start from the beginning

First, do u see any lights when u turn your key into the ON position? like the check light, handbrake light, etc?? if you do, your battery is fine (at least has SOME juice in there) if not, then your BATTERY for some god forsaken reason is dead overnight.

do u hear the cranking? when u turn your key, do you hear any "engine running" sounds or do u hear a CLICK? if u only hear a CLICK, probably your starter is dead.....if you don't hear the click and hear the engine cranking but u hear it getting slower and slower... (if you hear it, u will know what i mean) then your Battery is probably dead.... go out in the middle of the road, stop a car and ask if they can jump your car for you.

now, if you hear engine noises but the car won't start, then probably your car is flooded

Ok, the battery is good. The battery gauge shows on the 12 and i think thats where its always at. There are lights on and the engine is spinning it just doesnt start up. It sounded like it wanted to start when i did the fuse thing, but now it just spins again. Do i need to change my oil?

 

changing the oil now probably won't help in the situation now (OF COURSE YOU SHOULD but lets fix this now)

now the fuse is in... try to turn ON the car, not start, then the press on the gas pedal fully, NOT pumping, just depress it all the way to the floor... THEN with the gas pedal fully depressed, crank the car for a few seconds.... that is the (simpler than EGI) unflooding prodcedure.....

also if u took out the spark plug wires, etc... put it back in before doing this..

Hi, I tried what you said with the gas pedal all the way down and it started up and revved WAY up and made some funny noises and quit running again. It sounded really bad when it shut off. It still spins, but doesnt want to start again.

 

what is wrong with my name? I had a neighbor that had a chevrolet (he called it a v8) motor in his rx7. It was FAST so im sure he wasnt lying. I made my name v8rx7 after his car.
