My car is up and running! (KINDA)
I ordered and installed my new walbro 255 fuel pump (Whick was alot easier then i thought) and My Car finally Started!
But now i can't keep it running, at first it would run fast then slow way down and do that over and over so i let it run and it got better and better but Now i can't keep it running for a few seconds without giving it some gas.
I think it might be the timing or spark plugs (im ordering new ones) but i don't know.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

S-AFC is a air/fuel controller. It piggy backs off the stock ECU to allow you to adjust the amount of fuel delivered to the engine. The pump you are running delivers too much fuel to use with an otherwise stock setup. The stock pressure regulator will have a hard time keeping the pressure down, so when the injectors open up, more fuel will come out then what the ECU wanted to come out. That is how it was explained to me. Someone correct me if I am wrong

fuel filter is not part of the fuel pump. it is in a small black cylinder on the fuel line in the engine bay, mounted to the firewall, somewhere below the brake booster and clutch master cylinder. best viewed from underneath the car. should be replaced at every 30K miles i think. maybe 50K not sure.

i have the same fuel pump and stock injector size and stock computer with stock FPR. I have no problem. The FPR should be able to handle the walbro if everthing is working correctly.
If he is POSITIVE he is running way too rich you could adjust the idle richness via the dashpot.
Perhaps when the old fuel pump was going a previous owner turned it WAY up.
Then there is also the issue of his injectors.

I went autozone and they had nothing but a freaking oil filter so im going online today to order a bunch of parts.
But now my car dosent start again and i think it is because my engine is flooded so i have a few more questions.
How do I unflood the engine?
How do i adjust the idle richness via the dashpot?
And does anyone know how to ADJUST THE TIMING??

seach for the unflooding. the sticky's have it too me think.
I wouldn't adjust the dashpot until you get the car running and u eliminated all the other things.
Timing requires a light and the FSM show you how. That explaination can also be found on a search.

Now that i know how to unflood the engine ill do that first and i just ordered a fuel filter, air filter, and spark plugs. When i get those i install them and hope my car starts and runs.
Also another thing i noticed when it started and kept quiting it would only reach 2,000 rpm's.
What gives?
And i read the haynes manual to timit but i do not understand what the hell thier talking about and i have a light but i still don't Know how to time it.

just to let you guys know i got it running or idleing at 500 rpms when i need it at 750.
Ran it till no more gas then figured out the antifreez was boiling so thier might be a leak.
Geting everything back to normal but i bought a new thermostat but when i went to put it in broke a bolt and need to get it out and re thread it.
So after i get this done i hope i can get it running good and time it.(which i don't now how to do)
