my car is sputtering?
hey guys. so i have been having car troubles. while I'm driving, in any gear, my car will jump on the rpms all over. and my car is jolting. and it sounds as tho its dying but not. it'll happen at any rpm level, any speed, and all gears. now this is not all the time. so i took it to the shop and had a tune up. also had fuel injectors cleaned and inspected. had it timed and what not. got it back and had no issues for about 2 day. then it started back up. i thought maybe it was my tps since it wasn't connected. well i fixed my tps and its still acting up. also in the mornings when i start my car, it will sometimes die upon start, so ill give it gas on the next try and it'll just sputter for about 2 seconds then die even with the pedal to the floor. takes roughly 4-6 times before it'll crank and not die. any ideas? I'm spread thin and don't know much about rotaries. anything will help..

It's an interesting, nay, revolutionary, approach to a tune up that leaves the TPS disconnected.
If these same visionaries had the injectors out, the connectors could have been switched.
You could have massive vacuum leaks where manifolds were removed.
The timing could be who knows where.
All of the above.

well it has been happening before it went to the shop. he did say i had a small vacuum leak but nothing to cause anything. but for all i know the dude prob doesn't know what he was doing because he was trying to charge me $1000+ just to buy and put in new injectors. could it possibly be apex seals? and what would be my best approach on this problem?

i have an 1986 13b fuel injected. and maybe my tps is shot? do you know where i could find a new one? and there is sadly no one other than the guy i took it to who will touch it. even the mazda dealership has turned me down saying they won't work on it. closest place to me that will is over 200+ miles. and i don't want to take it back to this guy for the prices he is trying to charge me. i honestly don't know if he even did anything. also is there anywhere that i could get a diagram of the vacuum lines? i know the guy who had it before me had capped off a few lines and there are about 3 lines hanging but have no suction.

If you buy a Used one, remember that an N/A and Turbo TPS can be swappable, they are the same in series 4.(S4).
But I can tell you it is not your TPS.
You said so yourself. Not connected, then connected and it still did the same thing.
If you paid for your car to be worked on then it should Work.Go back to the shop.
