sure you didn't hook up the battery backwards, or have a aftermarket security system installed???

the coolant and oil level would have something to do with it? the oil might be low, but how would that set the horn off? oh, and no aftermarket sec system.

Well low coolant and low oil will set off the warning buzzer, but you say it's the car horn...so you must have a short in that circuit.

So does everything else work fine, just the horn activates when you hook up the battery???

Did you try turning the key in the drivers door to unlock while the horn is honking?

And pulling fuses is a micky mouse way to fix things

would be better to pull the plug of the horn....I think you'll lose ABS, brake lights, and cruise control if you pull the fuse.

hmm, the horn is not honking, its a constant beep like someone is laying on the horn, i did try unlocking the door because i thought that it might be the sec system, but to no avail, and yes it is just the horn. wow, im confused

If it is the horn, (and not some buzzer) then it suggests either the CPU is bad or the steering wheel pickup/connection for the horn is bad.

The horn relay is built into the main circuit board of the CPU. I do have rebuilt FB05 CPUs available on my website, but please check the steering column connections first, so you don't waste any money buying the wrong part.

Check that they are not loose and that there is no short (exposed wires touching things that they shouldn't be touching).
