was....had to get rid of my N1's I was going deaf...Now I have old school HKS....much quieter

 

is this Brooke? Cuz that's Hassell's GTUs TII.

 

yes...I'm Brooke....and that's his car...

 

gtus conversion...it started life as a gtu. not that it's not a nice car, it put down awesome laps at the hawaii raceway park super lapper sessions.

 

yup yup.....that's my black and white (junpower hood) GTUsT...........as of now her car runs well.....needs to have the camber adjusted and there is an exhaust leak somewhere.......her car is the luxury cruiser..........AC, PS, and good sound (installing her radio soon)......as opposed to my gutted streetrace car..........she wants to go Turbo but I am not sure if it will be a good idea......NA is better on gas mileage...if I remember right it is a '91(no sunroof)NA with GTUs tranny, interior and rear end. I replaced the GTUs tranny (damaged from broken driveshaft) with another GTUs tranny and so far it's been good.

i love it......it's the cleanest FC around here......TII body parts and suspension all done up.......now it needs a new paint job on the hood...can't wait till we can both go driving again.

Next mods (IF I CAN CONVINCE HER TO DO IT): rear bumper skirt (AIT RACING), MATCHING MOMO wheel like the one in MY GTUsT and MOMO racing seats, good tires, short shifter, pulley(removed STOCK fan), engine dress up, I want to install some foglights for mountain driving around here, and the most important of them all a nice DETAILING job.

It shouldn't be hard to convince Brooke to buy **** for her car tho.....lol....

It's race ready!!! OH and Hassel or Brooke, do me a HUGE favor tho, please take off that Base sticker. Thanx.

I scraped it off yesterday after the pics.....the N1's were too loud dood.......I drove it around the block yesterday and it seemed nice......it squeeks under WOT though......I will get it registered and on the street soon......we haven't driven it anywhere since the reg expired....mainly cuz the U joint issue that broke the tranny......I bought a TII hood for my GTUsT (the white one is JUNPOWER'S) but she want's it on her car.....it's red too.......what do you think Luis? should I let her use the TII hood or should I keep it for myself even though I am going FMIC soon AND I have an NA aluminum hood already?

Did you just say it's had TII suspension swapped on? You do know the GTUs/TII suspension is the same, right? Just a bit confused at what I read.

Also, the GTUs tranny is the same as the N/A tranny (so I hope you didn't waste money thinking it was special, because although a few places have the gearing listed differently, they are infact the same)

 

SonicRat: No he or should i say "I" didnt waste my money on a GTUs Tranny. I bought a GTUs a while back for 600bones and took everything i could from it. The tranny was rebuilt, the calipers were rebuilt. Too bad the tranny broke cuz it only had like 15,000 miles on it.

Oh and the GTUs tranny is sorta different. 5th Gear is different, it's shorter , which really don't mean crap, but since at the time i was having it rebuilt for FREE; i figured what the hell put the whole GTUs drivetain in.

Oh and Hassel, I dont remember if i told you but that car also has those pineapple racing sleeves. So if brooke wanted to get those and put it in, she doesn't have to. It's in there :-)

And for the hood. I'd say keep the aluminum hood on Brookes car, just get it painted.

 

no I said TII body parts: Sideskirts and lip..........i bought the replacement tranny pretty cheap too.....yeah I remembered about the racing sleeves....as far as the suspension: it is no longer TII suspension...check out her sig in top post.....i love how her car handles but the camber is still zero'ed out right now so it's a bitch to drive sometimes.....it will be racing soon.....I taught Brooke how to drive and shift right in my GTUs Turbo and she'll soon come join me at the track
