its spraypaint. graphite "dupli-color" wheel paint from autozone with 2 coats of clearcoat.

i used high temp clearcoat "engine paint" but clear, so yeah it should holdup to the heat fairly well.

i didnt do any sanding. just sprayed them to see how it would turnout.

That paint is some high quality material. It does repel some heat, and holds up to water, cleaners, etc.

Looks good, I'll have to find that graphite color.

yeah its pretty hardcore paint. it also has 3 coats of clearcoat (the high temp engine paint clearcoat) stuff on it. so it'll definitely hold up to a little engine degreaser
