my 7 is dead
well...i wrecked her. had my 7 for about a month and then wrecked it saturday night. hit a tree doing about 50mph on a backroad. but i walked away with no serious injury.
can't say as much for the car. it's totaled. but the drivetrain is fine, and since it did do a good job of saving my life, i think i owe it to the car to put it's heart in a new body. on that note, anyone know of any rx7's in the st. louis or mid-missouri area that are without a drivetrain? i'm looking essentially for a car that has a frame, body, and suspension. needs the rear glass too, but i can probably salvage the rest off my poor dead car.

i don't have pics yet but will by the end of the week. it was a lettered highway with a speed limit of 55, which is the only reason i didn't get a ticket. i had actually slowed down for the blind corner, which had a couple dogs hiding around it. if i hadn't slowed down i'd probably be hurtin real bad.

Can you give a reason as to why you were doing 50MPH on a backroad, possibly one rated 35MPH?

If he was doing 95 before a sharp turn that was posted as 25, then he would almost be driving like your average Hillclimb competitor. Puuuulllllleeeeeeez!

"Possibly one rated 35mph?"
where the hell did you get that idea?

even if it were 35mph, come ******* on. He's driving an RX-7. They are built to be sporty and he's going to have fun with it. Don't be such a jerk about it.
I can't believe someone would be so quick to criticize someone when they have no clue whatsoever on what actually happened. That's just lame man.
for the original poster, glad to hear you're safe. It's also very respectable that you try to repay your car that served you so well, by transplanting what's left of it into a new shell. Good luck.

BTW-sorry to hear about the wreck, I shouldnt have to tell you to try to be alittle more careful, because Im sure you found that out. I work recommend getting some good tires and suspension on your next FC before you go too crazy.
