Muffler setup

Hey i recently bought and install Monza headers on my 87' RX. I also went in and cleaned out the cats. I was wondering what kind of mufflers I should get for my car that give it the highest performance boost and/or sound the best. Any help would be much appreciated.

PS- what other mods add power but are fairly inexpensive?? I'm running on a small budget so i am wondering what to do to my car next.

check rx7 store or www.rx7.com for a good catback system.

Assuming a NA (non turbo)?? If so downpipe, performance cat, catback exhaust, perf intake, cold air box, stamped headlight cover (airscoop).

Check www.mariahmotorsports.com for the intake stuff.

That's most of stage I upgrades.

Do you have emissions test? If not, go with a straight pipe. It adds good power and is fairly inexpensive. If you do have emissions, just keep your cats and put them back on for the test, then remove them the next day.
I think a good catback is the dynomax exhaust. It looks good and sounds nice. You really will not find very much power when changing your catback, mostly just removing your cats is where you will get your power from.

Server's getting overloaded- their upgrading over the weekend apparently- They turned off search to reduce the busy errors for everyone- Only temporary!

Ya- paceshitter sucks, apparently they don't provide any power increase at all- just noise!! They are not equal length tubes. I have them, and they are freaking loud, and gave me a minimal high end gain.
I should hove gotten RB, but I cheaped out.. Sorry man!
Oh well, they are better than nothing.

More mods? Make sure everything is working right (6 ports especially)
rx7.com has a cheap catback that's really good. ($395)
Corksport.com just came out with a cheap one too.. but it;'s a single, and may be really loud with headers.
Get a universal K/N cone intake filter - don't pay more than 40 bucks for an intake filter!! All the others are WAYY overpriced.
Get a presilencer in place of the cat- or a straight pipe.

So- headers, presilencer, cat back, and an intake cone- you should be pretty happy with the results- up at least 25 HP from stock.

That's about it for cheap things.
Oh- Advance the timing a tad (just under 1cm on the crank pulley)
