My older bro told me about the jacobs long before I even knew about 7s. He said its a great system. Just no one really ever shows any dyno sheets proving any ign. comp. give you any real gains.

rx7.com swears by them, i beleive that they have a better spark, but they are also the only ones made for rotaries, ie rotary pro pak

YA THAT'S THE ONLY REASON I GOT THE JACOBS ON MY LAST FC was the claims from them i know they are very reputable so i wouldn't say they are lieing. but, when i installed the system it wasn't as good as they say i didn't feel the gains they promised although i wasn't heavily modified with the gains they were claiming you would have felt it. also i experienced an intermitten starting problem that i spoke with someone from rx7.com who i boutgh the system from and they told me it's common you have to plug the stock system back together start the car and then plug the jacobs back in also i was getting a flooding problem with the system and was told at the time (same conversation) that when shutting the car off you need to rev to 6 or 7 grand and turn the key off when the engine is at 6 grand to aleviate the problem. so to sum this up i have not tried the msd or the crane ignitions but i don't like the jacobs.

revving the engine to about 1500-2000 rpm is more than enough to stop the flooding problem. Do not rev to 6k and shut the engine off. Very bad. Very, very bad.
