I mounted mine on top of the fan shroud. Ran the wires all nice and neat between the radiator and upper support. I believe you are supposed to mount it in the cab preferably. But anywhere you find room that will keep it from the elements.

If you are only installing one, it has to be to the primary coils. It takes two more for the trailing coils.

Save your money and buy something that will actually benefit the car, such as an injector cleaning.

Mount it on the frame that holds the hood latch. You know, the frame just aft of the frame that holds the numerous relays in front of the radiator. You mount it there to keep it cool. Notice the ribs on the MSD..........they are there to remove heat.

That said and after buying and installing three of these in the past......................on a non race car, non super duper hot rod RX...............waste of money imho. Better off having put the money in DBA or LEXCX or heck, just COP or XOM. I'd at least made some money to buy something of more use.

Someone posted the two jpg attached recently. Might be of some help to you. You might have to go the FC3S PRO site to see the pictures better than what is attached.

when I had my msd, I had mines mounted where Hailers had his, on the frame with all the relays infront of the radiator support.
You must mount it somewhere it is dry from the rain and can cool the unit.

I know that it will not give me much gains in HP, but I heard that it will help with gas mileage. What should I expect?

Back when I put one on my '87 Turbo, I gained precisely zero in gas mileage.
