Question Moving Logicon

I am currently doing alot of work to my car while my license is suspended and that includes some serious interior work. One thing I would really love to do is switch the location of my logicon and radio. I know its possible because Ive seen it but I havent found any instructions anywhere. It would be simple with the dash removed but thats a little too risky for me. Does anyone here have any experience with this and/or know where I can find some instructions?

just extend the wires and move it.

But I doubt that a radio would fit where the Logicon goes without doing some modifications to the ducting and dash.

and fix your signature... 10 lines withiout an image is the maximum that the admins of this board have allowed. Fix it or it will be deleted.

Arrow ok

Ill give that a try. I saw the instructions for removing the dahs but I am afraid to do it. I have stripped down 3 fcs alreayd and found ti very difficult ro remove any of the plastic componenst without cracking them. I dont want to crack my dash. Ill fix the signature, i didnt know about the rule.

Go for it. I've had my dash out several times, and wouldn't do anything of significance behind/under it without taking it out. It's really no big deal.

The big deal, however, would be modifying the mounts to swap the logicon and radio. You'll see what i mean when you get it out. Or, I can send you some pix of when I had mine out and maybe you can get an idea of what it'll take.

If you're afraid to do it, pay someone else who is competent in electronics to take care of it.

its not that I am not competant in electronics, i am scared to deal with 18 year old brittle plastic. However I am going to remove the dash. I figured between moving the logicon and the repainting of the dash and hardware (black) it would all be easier witht the dash removed. KEL if you could send me those pics I would really appreciate the help, bklynRX7@aol.com .

If it's going to break from you removing it, it means one of two things: a) it would of broken anyways, or b) you need to be gentler .
