i used some tin snips and cut out a hole so the bar could fit in, you can still use the speakers

Hey Man,

If you buy a brace that mounts on top of the towers, much like the front strut brace is mounted, then I'm pretty sure it will interfere with the speakers.

However, if you buy a tri-point brace, you don't have to worry moving around the speakers, you just have to drill some holes in the sides of the strut tower. You can buy one at CPRacing for like 65 bucks.

If I were you, I would get the tri-point brace:
- It probably works better than the top-mount
- It looks better
- And you don't have to move around your speakers

Oh yeah, it's an easy install also

I have a cusco rear strut brace. I had to cut holes in the towers to get the bar through and my speakers work just fine.

It may not be noticeable but it won't hurt. A good quality 6 pt or better will stiffen the chassis pretty well. But the strut towers are not specifically addressed. If you look at most serious race cars there is additional bracing in the rear, not just the two rear bars extending from the main hoop. I would say let your goal weight decide how much bracing you want to add, and if you are in line with it, add the bar.
