Mounting Engine on stand: Help!

So I got my angine out today and I was told that I don't need the adapter to put it on the stand but when I tried it, the stand would fall over becasue all the weight was on one side.

I mounted it where the AC bracket goes but it doesn't stay right, I know I'm doing wrong... so what I'm asking is if anyone has pictures of their engine mounted without the adapter. Thank you so much, right now I'm working on a table.

These pictures are on my cardomain.com page. The engine can be rotated around without the stand falling over because the engine hangs over the center of the stand. The base of the stand is shaped like a T. The engine hangs over the longer straight part so it doesn't lift the single wheel off the ground. I'm at work so I can't get to any other pictures that I have. Hope this helps some.

For expedience, could you just buy a 50# bag of sand and lay it on your stand's leg to hold it down?

I was able to make an adapter for about $10 using a piece of 3x3x1/4 angle iron. It took about 2 hours. I'll find a picture and post it.

Here are some pictures of the one I made for cheap. Its balance isn't the best, but I was able to rotate the motor to any position without any trouble.

Edit: I know this doesn't answer your question, but I thought an alternative might be helpful. Good luck!

I didnt have to use an adapter. Yes it was unbalanced, but i had a long cheater tube to turn the head around.

If your engine stand is falling over, spread out the legs more if you can. Are you sure it can handle the weight?

I made that one and it works very well, the motor is just about perfectly balanced. I have extra c-channel, pm me if you want one.
