Motor Swap questions- (anti flame suit zipped up)

If you are going to flame, please just don't respond. I'm even using the spell check and what not haha.

My situation:
I own a crashed (dont want to talk about it) 91 Na automatic and a 88 Na 5 speed manual. Both cars have enough parts to run, however each car has their stong and weak points, and I only need one vehichle. For the most part, parts is not a concern. After alot of thought and debate, I have decided to swap over parts from my s5 to my s4, making a hybrid vehicle that is superior to either of the original cars in both performance and reliability. I think that I have the entire project figured out and have done as much research as possible in between school and work to deserve a thread with still some questions left over.

What I am swapping over:
Interior (full carpet, dash, seats, leaky sunroof, etc.)- halfway done no problems so far
Exterior (not important, will be taken care of later once the car is running)
complete Motor
aftermarket header, cat back exhaust, hi flow cat, etc.

Questions and what I have figured out through Rx7club and rotaryressurection:
I need a s5 flywheel for a manual transmission-correct?
I need a s4 clutch-correct?
i have the entire interior engine and interior harnesses, motors, manifolds, ECU, etc. as they are both complete cars.
What should be done to make the complete swap go properly? Id prefer the ENTIRE s5 motor i.e. block, manifolds, engine harness, ECU, emissions, etc. to be swapped over. Is that really necessary though and is it worth the power upgrade?

Thanks, matt

I'm trying to Figure Out What you want to do?.Put the S5auto Engine into the S4 and make it a manual?..if so,S5 Engine,s5 Manual Flywheel,s5 Clutch,s4 from the Trans Back...also you can Run the S5 Keg as an S4,..(check that out through Search).

yes i am swapping the s5 auto's motor into the s4 manual chassis. so you are saying that I should get a s5 clutch not an s4 clutch? If it it compatible with the s4 drivetrain/transmission then yea that would make more sense to do. thanks.

if your getting used or stock replacement clutch you need the clutch to be the same year as the trans

that is if they are the same as a TII, on a stock TII you cant interchange a S4 and a S5 clutch unless you change the front cover piece- I just had to do this on my TII swap car as my custom pressure plate would not bolt up to the S5, its a long story.

And if anyone knos how to I still need to kno what i should do to keep the emissions, s5 intake manifold, throttle body, intake and MAF, etc. And I want to use the s5 ECU on the car, or is it just not worth the time? Because rotaryressurection's site says no because sourcing parts is a pain, but I have everything.

thanks, matt
