motor rebuilds

hey i wanted to know what i could do to get the most life out of a 1991 n/a, the guy i bought it from said its a rebuilt engine, but im not 100 % sure, anyways what matenance and or service should be done to it to extend the life of te engine,
and also how much i an engine to be rebuilt

well if you really wanna know if it is a rebuild you can take your exhaust manifold off and take a peek at the apex seals with a flashlight. (dont do this with the car running
