motor rebuild question
so if i were to attempt to rebuild a motor from an 88 rx7 what exact parts should i buy and where can i get all the parts from? Does anyone have an exact list of every single part needed for this? i have a spare blown motor laying around figured it would be a good winter project to learn how to rebuild one of these motors. Figured lots of pictures as it comes apart and hanes manual should help me through the project. i just want to get a list of all the parts i should get so i can have everything at once, not hafta stop mid day in project to get parts. Thanks

I'll give you a list of parts if you give me a list of what's out of spec/broken. Unless you're changing EVERYTHING (including apex seals, side seals, corner seals, bearings, etc.) there's no way to know until it's apart. Bare minimum will be a soft seal kit (including oil pan gasket, front cover gasket, aka soft seals) as well as water seals, oil ring O-rings, apex seal springs, side seal springs, corner seal springs, corner seal plugs and front and rear main seals.
