More Stupid Ways to blow the engine!

this has probably been done before, but can't find any documentation on it now (no, i didn't look hard).. A friend and i were talking the other night, and the conversation turned to NOS.. we were thinking of ways to make it even more efficent, and we figured, just run pure 02? Is this plausable? pure 02 would burn a helluva lot better than NOS, correct? also, how long do you think it woudl take for an engine to blow with this?

just somet houghts late at night: )

instantaneous engine loss.
When burned, nitrous and oxygen spilt, right? The nitrogen, available in the air normally, acts as a 'buffer' for a controlled explosion.
Air would cause instantaneous detonation, with uncontrolled combustion. Very bad idea.

The nitrous helps to suppress the pure oxygen, alotta people this its nitrous that makes them fast but its actually the oxygen. I think.

Nothing will burn without Oxygen. So ya, oxygen makes it possible.
