More flooding woes....

SO I bought an '88 GXL for a project car. Car which was flooding terribly bad.

So I pull the injectors and take them to Diesel Injection Services in Louisville, KY (great guys). They call me last night and tell me that each injector passed all of thier tests, and that they all flowed withing 4cc of each other (all around 215cc, I'll post the flow sheet when I go pick them up this afternoon).

SO my question is....is there anything else that can cause severe flooding issues?

I'm thinking that maybe the Fuel Pressure Regulator is bad, letting too much FP to get to the injectors. Or possibly something else has the computer thinking that it needs to inject more fuel.

Anyone have any ideas, or suggestions on things that need to be checked?

The cars trys to start, and runs for about 2 seconds sputtering at about 500rpm, and then dies....flooded again.

Agrivating to say the least!

Surely someone has some more input on this......I know low compression can't be the only thing causing it to flood......Any other ideas??

Check connections around the AFM, and try swapping another. Classic sign of a problem in that area.

BTW, your injectors should flow at 460CC.
