Moonroof leaking HELP!

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix a leaking moonroof.... It looks like it closed tight and I cleaned out the tracks but it still leaks. Does Home Depot have any kind of rubber seal that wouldn't look that bad? Or does mazda just sell the seal around the moonroof. I am open to any ideas.

Thanks

1. Seal is cracked-replace with mazda oem part only if it is not draining correctly.

2. Not draining correctly-Get a spool of 12g plastic coated wire, or weed-eater wire and shove it down the drain hole ala drain snake.

Its possible that either the seal or improper drainage is causing your sunroof to leak.

Yep, Josepi is correct... Generally its the drain line or the seal itself.

Also make sure if the car has been in an accident that the roof is closing tight and is correctly aligned with the roof down

Where is the drain hole? I just got back from looking at the open moonroof and didn't see any place for the water to drain.

If you are getting water dripping from the sun/moon roof it can only be due to a clogged drain chanel. The "seal" around the metal roof is only there for wind noise abatement and is not intended to stop water! It is a felt seal, not a rubber water seal. The sunroof system is a one piece unit with a drain tray all the way around and a hose at each corner running down inside the trim - if water is coming inside the car one or more of the drain chanels must be clogged - with the roof open try running a straightened out wire coat hanger down the drain hoses.

Take it from stupid here. Almost never used moon roof. Apparently drain ports/hose got plugged. Never leaked into the car. Over god know how long it rusted the roof and pillars from the inside. Incredable mess. Get it fixed pronto.

Now that you guys are talking about it I am going to check to see if mine leaks inside, because mine doesn't work. Think I just need a cable but it looks like a lot of work to replace.
