Well, I'd throw it away. But why don't you epoxy it and let us know how it turns out. Write back once a year to let us know how it's going. Your car can be the test bed. A science project of sorts.

If epoxy were to fail when applied as a reinforcement to the coolant seal groove structure, it would only end up in the water jacket, not the combustion chamber or oil system. I don't mean putting the epoxy in the o ring groove when assembling the engine, I mean putting it behind the wall making up the groove which sits in the water jacket in a small cavity right across from the aux port.
Oh and vegeta, please spell better! There is no excuse for such laziness of writing. I don't care if "this is the internet", people are still going to read what you write and what I have observed over the course of your career here has not given me a good impression. My $.02, take it however you choose.

Ah, you are talking abour reinforcing the housings. I wouldn't waste time. Just get another housing. Just think how annoying it will be when your fresh rebuild fails due to epoxy failure.

I know what he is talking about. He is talking about the width between the combustion chamber and water jacket. He wants to use something to bring it with in specs. If a piece chucks off...it will end up in the cooling system and can either clog the radiator or the water pump.
