i was wondering if anyone has ever welded it back together after it broke? there is some rubber in there but metal as well. i was thinking of getting rid of some fo the rubber and welding in some metal plateds between the two to make a solif mount. any ideas??

I guess you could make the mount soild metal. Go to the rotary performance section and search for Scalliwag, he made some nice soild motor mounts, and making solid diff mount wouldn't be much different.

so all a pinion snubber is, basicaly a big bump stop that bolts into the body and sits against the differential to prevent it form rotating up?

Yes.

This part looks like it may work for $13:

Does anyone know of a cheaper one? (I'm a tight wad )

If you got a pinion snubber you would still have to replace the busted mount.

Scratch that. I think that one may be too short.

Apparently, you can buy them at Autozone for $8

IS it possible that the mount is half broken? I am worry that the diff will fall out. Is it safe to drive the car with a broken diff mount?
