modifiy the intake on 88 n/a

I was wondering if i could get more air flow into my engine? i mean that stupid mass air flow sensor is so restrictive. is it possible to get a racing one that has no flap in it just the sensor? and i was also going to put a duel intake system on it for better air flow. my car also has a racing exaust on it running at about 200 horses. pretty good for a N/A. also what else can i do to get more horse power.

Only way you are getting rid of that flap is if you use a MAF translator like the MAP ECU, or a standalone.

And I'm assuming that you have done extensive testing to prove this? What I'm trying to say is that it is not a restriction until you get into very high power levels (400+ HP). There's no way you will accomplish this on your stock port NA engine.

First, get a few dyno pulls done. You will find that you're nowhere near 200 HP. Especially on the stock ECU.

Lol 200 hp with the 88 n/a? maybe with the s5. s4 is a little bit harder to accomplish.

Sure you can, but without knowing what you've already done, any suggestions you get will simply be guesses.

The flap is the sensor. It sounds like know very little about how EFI works. You might want to do a little learning before you start making terrible assumptions like these.

Maf Translator Pro is a possibly option someone just needs to bite the bullet it and try it out.

Ha ha, I have a full racing beat exaust that ends in an Open Y-Pipe on a stock port S4, and I would be thrilled if I was at 140 RWHP.

He has 200 hp the way the TFATF Civic tuners do...

He looked up the RB exhaust and sees that it can make up to 40 extra HP and he added that on to the 146 HP the stock makes, and added the extra 15 hp that he heard a cone filter can make and wowie he has 200 hp. of course like many others he is forgetting that 25% driveline loss...

200 HP on a non turbo is not going to happen without porting and major modifcations. I wonder if he knows that a S4 non turbo only dynos out at around 110-115 HP at the rear wheels.

In addition that S4 air flow meter is good for about 400 HP, so it is not really a restriction at even half that power.
